Workshops

The Visual Arts Center offers a dynamic and exciting art education program that encompasses many different types of arts, crafts, and art appreciation. Our goal is to be an art education source for all age groups. Call or come in to register!

Visual Arts Center frequently hosts workshops with well-known artists, offering a wide variety of subjects designed for various skill and age levels. Workshops are offered for members-only and to the public.

Learn to design and create jewelry by blending the ancient techniques of hand chasing and repousse with the modern convenience and power of the hydraulic press.

THE CREATIVE JOURNEY LECTURE by Anita Luvera Mayer March 22, 2012 ~ 4p

Join us for a look at 30 years of laughter, tears, and frustration as one person searches and learns the “secret formula” for creative thinking.
Anita Mayer is a designer of contemporary clothing inspired by ethnic originals, with finishes and embellishments done by hand. Her work is personal and often speaks to women's issues. Anita believes there should be something magical and unique about what is worn each day, something to celebrate, and enjoys sharing that concept with others.
