The Visual Arts Center offers a dynamic and exciting art education program that encompasses many different types of arts, crafts, and art appreciation. Our goal is to be an art education source for all age groups. Call or come in to register!
Classes in many different art media are offered. The VAC has a staff of highly accomplished, award-winning instructors. [see Instructors]
Portrait, life drawing, and plein aire sessions are weekly mainstay activities. Fine crafts classes in pottery, stained glass and jewelry-making are popular classes in the curriculum. Occasionally, specialty classes are offered in diverse media like silk-painting and multimedia technology. We offer art appreciation and history classes, too. [see Classes]

BAG LADIES Mini-Workshops January & February, 2012

A "bag lady" tea party will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2-4pm at the VAC. It will be an afternoon of fun and surprises, a huge variety of bags for purchase, door prizes, a silent auction and more. $15/person with tickets on sale in January.

THE CREATIVE JOURNEY LECTURE by Anita Luvera Mayer March 22, 2012 ~ 4p
Join us for a look at 30 years of laughter, tears, and frustration as one person searches and learns the “secret formula” for creative thinking.
Anita Mayer is a designer of contemporary clothing inspired by ethnic originals, with finishes and embellishments done by hand. Her work is personal and often speaks to women's issues. Anita believes there should be something magical and unique about what is worn each day, something to celebrate, and enjoys sharing that concept with others.
