$500 ($450 VAC Members)

PDF Flyer

This workshop will focus on painting outdoors from life (en plein air) along with basic art fundamentals of color temperature, value, edges, composition and paint handling. We will also discuss how to develop greater skills of observation, simplification, identification of a strong focal point and quickly painting “wet on wet” (alla prima) to translate what you see and experience into strong paintings.  Participants will paint every day at a different location. Each day begins with a brief demonstration by Dan followed by everyone painting, with plenty of one-on-one instruction. The class is structured for beginners to advanced painters.

Dan Graziano

Dan Graziano is an award winning, nationally exhibited artist whose paintings capture the hidden beauty found in the unexpected places and fleeting moments of everyday life.  His work has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, and is in the collections of private and corporate collectors.  In addition to conducting painting workshops at his studio in Maine, Dan Graziano also travels to other communities teaching workshops by invitation.
